I help individuals wanting to build a career as a voice-over artist eliminate all the unhelpful industry BS so they can build their confidence with the craft and create career momentum.
Building a career in voiceover doesn't have to be so confusing and expensive. Does it require some hustle and hard work? Obviously.
But there's no gatekeeping here. I share my strategies and stories to help you find success of your own.
You’ve been dreaming of starting in voiceover for years, but get so overwhelmed when you start researching, you have no idea where to start
You’re getting yourself auditions, looking for representation, creating your reel - and nearing burnout but have nothing to show for your hustle.
You’re working with representation and keeping up with the urgent demands of the VO industry…. But you’ve never booked consistently and are wondering if you’re wasting their time.
You’re questioning your creative ability and feeling sh*tty after every audition. Or you feel like they’re nailing your auditions but are getting no feedback, avails, or bookings.
You’ve wasted hours googling “how to have a career as a VO artist”
You’ve paid for all the classes or worked with coaches
Maybe you’ve even gotten a (very expensive) reel produced
You’ve submitted to representation or tried to meet them at workshops
Maybe you got signed (heyoooo!), but now you’re inundated with quick turnaround auditions (great problem to have right?), but you’re getting no feedback and wondering if you’re anywhere close to a booking. Now you’re questioning if you’re any good at this or if your agent is one click away from sending that email dropping you….
OR maybe you feel like you’re doing ALL the right things, you’re booking (just not consistently yet) and your relationship with your rep is okay…. But you have no career momentum and are burnt out…
I used to feel like I was truly terrible at voiceover. My auditions were boring and stale. I was scared every time my agent called or emailed me that I was being dropped. I didn’t feel like I belonged at the agency I was with (or deserved to be there). Auditions felt more frustrating than fun.
Despite having a “cool-ish voice with some rasp”, I knew there was no way I was anywhere close to booking a job (let alone making a career out of this…) and honestly…. The more I continued the more personal pain I felt. My confidence was dwindling and it all felt like a bad nightmare I wasn’t waking up from.
I threw one last Hail Mary pass… and (to my surprise) sh*t really turned around.
And around the two-month mark of being with my agency, a booth director pulled me aside and told me, “You’re a good actor, I can tell. And you’re a hard worker. But we move fast here and you’re not operating at the caliber we need you to be at...
I’ve been doing this for a long time and I think you can do really awesome here. But we need to shake sh*t up, and fast, otherwise you won’t be able to survive here and I don’t want that for you.”
She then gave me a very quick ten minute VO 101 lesson going over basic script analysis, new audition techniques, and ways I can practice at home.
I booked my first job 3 weeks later. By the end of that year I was able to quit most of my part time jobs and side hustles.
And as the industry has continued shape shifting (as it always will), I’ve learned that it’s not just one simple trick, or having one process that makes a successful career. It’s a lot of factors that come together and create a career ecosystem.
We develop a process that allows you to play, while also helping you build momentum in your career. I share all of my experiences as a professional and a performer, and really help you hone in on your strengths while designing strategic next steps for you.
I’m a certified coach and have been in the entertainment industry for over a decade.
I’ve done over 100+ voiceover jobs, booked national commercials, guest stars, and indie features. I’ve created my own projects that have gotten into film festivals. I’ve written TV pilots that were semi-finalists in writing competitions…
And I’ve never stopped growing, learning, and expanding my skillset and definition of who I am as an artist…. AND as a business owner steering the ship of my career.
Check out my work!
Who doesn’t love hearing “Yep, it’s you.” and then getting a chance to get paid to do what you love?
When so often we hear, “Nope, going in a different direction.” Or just not hearing anything at all.
But all of this is 100% attainable for you too.
You are worthy of having the career you've dreamed of and loving the crap out of your life.
And I want to help you design a new strategy that empowers you to be the performer and professional you're capable of becoming.
I’m an early bird (re: undiagnosed insomniac). But thankfully I LOVE mornings….
For those wondering… I’m an Aquarius, Enneagram 2w3, ENFJ, and Manifestor in Human Design.
Friday Night Lights is my fav tv show of all time. Followed by Schitt’s Creek and anything Shonda Rhimes creates.
I’m sports-obsessed. If I’m working, sports are on in the background. And I don’t discriminate… Football, Tennis, Horse Racing, Olympics Re-runs - I watch them all.
Whether you’ve been thinking about voiceover for a while but don’t know where to start, you’ve been at it for a bit but don’t feel confident in your auditions or your current representation, or your mindset is hindering your ability to grow as a performer and a professional… I got your back. As someone who’s been professionally working as a commercial VO artist for almost a decade and amassed over 100+ jobs, I’ve been through a lot of unique professional experiences and know what it takes to not only get started, but maintain a career in voiceover.
